For outdoorsy families craving adventure, Croatia is the place to be. Whilst some activities may be too adventurous for very small children there are plenty of things to do to suit the whole family. With rugged mountains and eight national parks why not consider a cycling holiday. Families can set a leisurely pace to ensure little ones keep up whilst teenagers crave fast downhill mountain biking. Alternatively bigger kids will love river rafting or kayaking.

For families with a love of animals visit the nearby islands of Brijuni, a national park with beautiful flora and fauna. Located six miles from mainland Croatia these fourteen islands create an attractive spectacle off the Istrian Coast. The largest island is home to a small animal park ideal for families with children. See the antelope, bull and even exotic elephants.

Whatever your family like to do on holiday, Croatia has it all.
