Things to do with kids in Rhodes, Greece

A popular attraction in Rhodes, which is great for children and adults alike, is visiting The “Valley of the Butterflies” in the Petaloudes Valley. This is a sure fire hit for children interested in either history or nature as a walk through the ruins of Kamiros encompasses both. Journeying through this wooded paradise, passing streams and waterfalls, children will learn about the ancient Greeks whilst watching out for beautiful butterflies. From mid-June to mid-September, numerous colourful butterflies can be seen fluttering around this spectacular walkway.

Take a day to cool down at The Water Park , the largest of its kind in Europe. The kids will love splashing about in the pools and shooting down the flumes whilst mum and dad can put their feet up in the lazy river. Kids can even play pirates on the giant ship, but watch out parents, those canons shoot water!

Why not take advantage of visiting two countries in one holiday? There are regular boat trips to neighbouring Turkey leaving from Rhodes every day, most frequently to the Turkish resort of Marmaris. Not only will the children enjoy the beautiful sail they will relish in discovering a different culture.
