Destination: Gran Canaria

Gran Canaria is an ideal location for a family holiday, adults and children alike will enjoy exploring this island with its tropical forests, volcanic mountains and golden beaches. It is one of the livelier areas but there are quieter resorts for that relaxing holiday. The main resort is Playa del Ingles, and is known for non-stop partying. If you have teenagers, this may be of interest. San Augustin and Maspalomas are the quieter resorts of Gran Canaria and are probably more suited for a family holiday.

There is plenty of fun for the whole family in Gran Canaria. You can all enjoy  splashing around at Aqualand, or racing the family around the track at the Grand Karting Club. Watch the kids spinning on the rodeo, or perhaps spinning after they have been on the rollercoaster at Holiday World!

There are also animals such as monkeys, chimpanzees, birds and a large family of Bengal tigers who you can see being fed at certain times of the day. Well worth a visit and your entrance fee helps to pays for the upkeep and staff at the park.

Sioux City is an excellent fun day out for both young and old. Go back in time to the Wild West and enjoy action packed shows such as a bank robbery shoot out or Indian Joes horse-riding stunts. Younger children will enjoy horse riding and the mini zoo. More details...
