Imperial City of Toledo is a world heritage city, and known as the city of three cultures; Christian, Moorish and Jewish. Their influences have left many architectural and artistic reminders all over the city.

Enjoy a walk through the labyrinth of narrow streets, and along the old Arab city walls. Children can run through this real-life fortress castle that dates back to the 14th century will enjoy watching swords being made by hand, and the younger ones will love riding around the city on the Zoco Train.

Things to do in Toledo with kids

Kids can have a great adventure touring Toledo on foot through its winding streets, and medieval gates, Arab walls, and bridges over the Tagus River .

Visit the Gothic Cathedral of Toledo, with the interior covered with sculptures, paintings, carvings, massive gold and silver altar pieces, such as a gold replica of a Columbus ship and good examples of old masters such as Titian, Goya, Van Dyck and of course Toledos favourite adopted son, El Greco.

The Alcazar, a short walk from the Cathedral, is one of Toledos best-known landmarks and has been built and rebuilt many times since 16th century, having been badly damaged in the Spanish Civil War.

Children will love Zocodover, a pretty plaza and a delightful place to relax, whilst the kids run around and play before jumping on the Zoco Train that takes you in a loop around the city.

Toledo Zoo - The Toledo Zoo home to over 6,000 mammals, fish, reptiles, amphibians, birds and invertebrates, representing over 750 species. This is a great place for family fun time. More details...
