Family holiday and travel with children to Andalucia

Andalucia is blessed with majestic mountains, green hilled countryside, whitewashed villages and a 900 kilometre coastline which has made it one of the world’s favourite holiday destinations

Andalucia is located in the South of Spain and is Spain’s largest region and known for its flamenco, fiestas, and bullfighting!
Most families head to the Costa del Sol, due to its blue flag beaches, warm weather and variety of family entertainment, however, away from the beach front is a world of fascinating places, such as Ronda, Sierra Nevada, and Spains most popular cities, Seville, Granada, and Cordoba. Adults and children alike will love the opportunity to explore the Islamic style fortresses, palaces and mosques that this region of Spain has to offer. The most famous being the Alhambra Palace in Granada, the Alcazar in Seville and the magnificent “mezquita” in Cordoba.

Things to do with kids in Andalucia

Visit the city of Cordoba, famous for its popular historical sites such as the spectacular Mezquita and the Jewish Quarter. One of the finest examples of Islamic architecture, the Mezquita is a beautiful mosque built by Abd ar-Rahman I. Its shimmering golden mosaics and an endless row of red-and-white striped arches make it a visual delight.
If there is one destination not to be missed in Andalucia, it is the Alhambra Palace! Dominating the Granada skyline from its hill-top perch, the old Islamic quarter of Alhambra is often referred to as ‘The eighth wonder of the world’.
