Destination: Milan

There are plenty of attractions right in the city centre, parks to stroll in with babies and toddlers, a castle and a famous Cathedral to climb with the kids, and museums to visit with your teens. Milan is also surrounded by the three largest lakes in Italy, Lake Maggiore, Lake Como and Lake Garda.

Milan can be expensive, especially when eating out, and smaller portions are rarely on offer. On a plus point, it’s easy to get around town, the metro is quite easy to navigate and the pavements even enough for pushchairs!

Things to Do in Milan with Kids

No trip would be complete without visiting the Milan Duomo, the third largest cathedral in the world. Linking this to the Teatro Alla Scala is the Galleria Vittorio Emanuelle II. Don’t miss the fabulous shopping arcade, whether you are looking to update your Prada handbag or just admire the architecture of this beautiful place.

Castello Sforzeco, is also worth a visit. This famous castle which was built back in 1368.

Go in search of Leonardo da Vinci's famous painting - The Last Supper, in the Santa Maria delle Grazie Church.

The kids will love the Milan Science Museum where they can get to learn how to make robots or soap bubbles. This science centre boasts lots of interactive exhibits and is suitable for all ages, toddlers, children and teenagers.
