Things to do in Orkney with Kids

During the summer months it is the best time to see inquisitive dolphins and whales that pass through our coastal waters. Take a boat trip to get close to these beautiful creatures and enjoy the beautiful scenery at the same time.

You can visit Castles and Palaces in Orkney, some of which have secret passage ways and hidden treasures. Here are a few that you can visit or go on an arranged tour: Balfour Castle, Shapinsay; Bishop’s & Earl’s Palaces, Kirkwall; The Earl’s Palace, Birsay; Noltland Castle, Westray; Cubbie Roo’s Castle, Wyre.
