For families, the house has high chairs, travel cots and portable baby monitors available. If you want to add a little extra romance to your stay, on request the staff can put a bottle of chilled champagne, chocolates or flowers in your room for your arrival. If you want anything else, just ask.

Warrens is ideally situated within walking distance of all York's major attractions, including the city centre, racecourse, train station and business centres. For those wishing to visit further afield, York is a great base for touring; it is within 40 minutes of the East Coast, famous for its beautiful sandy beaches, and within easy reach of Harry Potter's North Yorkshire Moors Steam Railway, Goathland (made famous by Heartbeat) and Castle Howard of Brideshead Revisited fame. For those wanting more thrills, Flamingo Land, with all its rides, is also close by.
Travel information
By Car: From the North: - Take the A1. - Join the A59 on the outskirts of the city and crossover the A1237. - Continue along the A59 into the city until you come up a hill to an iron railway bridge. - Turn right after the bridge onto Dalton Terrace. - At the traffic lights, turn left. - At the next set of traffic lights, turn right onto Scarcroft Road. - Warrens is on the left-hand side, just past the park. From the South: - Enter York on the A64 (York to Leeds road). - On the outskirts of the city, take the A1036 signposted York West. - Follow signs for the city centre. - After a mile you will pass the racecourse on your right. There is then a slight hill with traffic lights at the top; go through the lights. - At the next set of traffic lights, turn right on to Scarcroft Road. - Warrens is on the left-hand side, just past the park. On Foot: From the Railway Station: - Turn right and follow the footpath around the city wall until you come to the cross roads. - Turn right at the junction onto Blosson Street. - After approximately 300 metres you will pass an Odeon Cinema. - Just beyond here the road changes name to The Mount. - After 200 metres turn left into Scarcroft Road. - Warrens is on the left-hand side, just past the park.

Providing modern comforts in traditional surroundings, Warrens was created from 2 large Victorian town houses, originally built in 1880. All rooms are en suite, with double and 4-poster rooms available on request. Each room is individual in its design, many with original Victorian features such as cornicing, ceiling roses and some with the original Victorian fireplaces. Warrens continually strives to make your stay a pleasurable one. It has won several awards, including a Silver Gilt for the garden areas and a Gold Award for the totally smoke free environment. It has also been a finalist in Guest House of The Year and Guest House Person of the Year.

Additional Cancellation Policy Information: Non-arrival without prior notification may result in the cost of the entire reservation being charged. No refunds are given for a curtailment of stay. Payment Information: Accounts must be settled in full on arrival by credit or debit card (subject to surcharge) or cash. No cheques are accepted including company or sterling Travellers Cheques) Other Information: Warrens request that guests do not bring their own food and drink onto the premises. Corkage may be charged. Warrens is strictly a non-smoking establishment. Should you be found to be in breach of this policy, you will be asked to leave and charged in full for your entire stay plus an additional 100 GBP for specialist cleaning of your room. Pets cannot be accommodated.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 7 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, 90 percent of all nights will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. Extra beds are not available. Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. City/tourist tax is not applicable. Internet: Wireless internet is available in public areas and is free of charge. Meal Plan: Breakfast is included in the room rate. Parking: Free private parking is possible on site (reservation is not possible). Pets: Pets are not allowed. The hotel reserves the right to pre-authorise credit cards prior to arrival.
